If your water is discolored or smells funny, it could be a variety of factors, including a problem with the pipes. But, if you notice a funny smell and a funny color coming from all of the water sources, this is a problem with your water heater.

2. Your Water Heater Frequently Breaks Down

4. The Water Heater is Old

If your water heater is old, especially if it is no longer under warranty, it’s time to get a new water heater. This is because it will eventually lead to problems, and could even lead to an explosion. Be sure to stay on top of replacing your water heater when it’s time, even if it is a headache.
